Hudson's on the Bend was established in 1984 by

Chef Jeff Blank with his wife Sarah. It quickly became known for its unique cuisine, which combined flavors fromTexas, the Southwest, and international influences.

The Award winning menu featured wild game such as elk, venison, and wild boar, as well as seafood, steaks, andother traditional dishes.

Hudson's on the Bend remains a beloved part of Austin'sculinary history and is remembered for its exceptional cuisine and beautiful setting.

Today tradition is being redefined yet respecting it's past. Chef Joseph Farner and his culinary team have created a new menu that is anchored in Hudson's tradition of wild game but made more approachable for today's modern guests. It retains a high standard of quality and creativity.

At the heart of the kitchen is a wood fired grill using pecan wood and Ole' Smokey, the smokehouse, where meats and vegetables are smoked for hours to create the unique Hudson's "forged in fire" flavor.
